Tartine Review
8.4/10. Solid pastries in an excellent venue.
Tartine was initially started in SF, and now has locations across LA and the Bay. The Santa Monica location is a particularly nice venue, with unique architecture as a converted church and a rather lush outdoor seating area. The pastries are on the more expensive side but are pretty solid, but Tartine really shines as an all-around joint with incredible breads and solid brunch options. However, BEWARE OF THE PARKING MAN. On my first visit he aggressively approached me and lashed out in fury as I allegedly was there the day before in my same car and did not pay the $1 parking fee which was simply not true, as this was my first time at the establishment (because apparently I am the only person in LA who drives a gray Tesla Model 3, it had to be me)
